Hurray! Google Maps Is Back on iPhone!

Hey, iPhone users, get ready to party! The Google Maps app for the iPhone is now back! Google announced Wednesday that they released their Maps app for iOS. We now have a great alternative to Apple’s built-in maps app. Remember how bad Apple Maps was? Apple Maps stank so much that CEO Tim Cook was forced to apologize publicly for it. Kicking Google Maps out of their smartphone was such a bad idea.
The Apple smartphones used to have Google Maps as their built-in mapping app. In fact, since the release of the first generation of the iPhone Apple has used Google Maps. This changed when Apple released the iOS 6, which was launched alongside the iPhone 5 in September. Upon its release, millions of iPhone users who updated their phones to the latest iOS complained about having been misdirected by Apple Maps due to misplaced landmarks and misnamed places.
